Just a Picture
This short film was created as a project for the Digital Video I course at Cal Poly, in collaboration with one of Cal Poly's creative writing courses. A student in the writing course created the initial script, and then my team and I adapted it for the screen and produced the short film. We also worked with a group of actors and actresses selected for the project - some students, some outside talent - which is where we connected with our lead actor and supporting actress. My roles for this project were director of photography and head editor. The film was shot with a Canon Rebel SL2 and edited in Adobe Suite.
Strategy in Graphic Communication
I created this video as part of a project for GrC 411: Strategic Trends and Profitability Issues in Print and Digital Media. My group and I explore various aspects of the graphic communication major in order to identify where the application of thoughtful strategies can lead to growth and long-term success. My role in this project was main editor. After receiving the self-recorded interviews from my teammates and recording one of my own, I stitched everything in Adobe Premiere Pro and added B-roll, animations, music, and the voice-over that plays throughout the video.
